What this is
A key snaps when it is worn, forced, or the lock is sticky. The broken piece is now wedged in the door or the ignition, and pushing on it only drives it deeper.
We extract the broken piece without damaging the lock, then find out why it broke. Often the lock needs a clean and the key needs a fresh cut. We make you a new key on the spot so you are not back in the same spot next week.
Do not try to dig it out with a screwdriver or glue. That usually turns a quick extraction into a cylinder replacement. Call us and leave the lock alone until we get there.
